Australians get job done

The Socceroos have answered their critics overnight by piecing together a 4-0 win over home team Thailand. After what was an obviously more enthusiastic start to the match for the Socceroos, defender Beauchamp was able to write his name back into the good-books with the fans by providing the opening goal for Australia, heading home a well-place free kick. Arnold's new line-up seemed to be scraping through until substitute Cahill allowed Australia to regain control of the game, assisting the 4-0 victory, with 2 goals to captain Mark Viduka and 1 to Harry Kewell. Australia have finished 2nd in their group which is enough to get through to the quarter finals where they will face Japan on Saturday night in a long-awaited world-cup re-match.
